Resumo: In academic environments, the efficiency of the production process can be directly harmed by the thermal discomfort and bright and to ensure proper development must meet the minimum conditions of comfort required by users, in order to preserve the physical and psychological health as well as the consumption of electrical energy. The boundaries considered for thermal comfort zone, in the intervals of 25°C and 29°C, low humidity (below 60%),When high humidifies amplitude reduces the range of 25° C to 26° c. In this context, based on a case study, this paper presents the performance evaluation heat released in an educational building, located in the city of Varzea Grande/MT, aiming to provide an academic environment suitable for the development of pedagogical and administrative activities in the warm period rainy. In this study, demonstrates that the hourly average temperatures for the studied environments are in satisfactory situation of thermal comfort for users, and enlightenment values far below the recommended standard, yet, users accustomed to the environments typically do not realize the need for readjustment of the environments. The contribution of this work to the institution demonstrated that becomes necessary a revision and readjustment under the conditions of the studied environments in order to provide a suitable environment for the development of educational activities.
