Resumo: | Considering the world-wide scenario of natural resources scarcity, the creation of more responsible solutions of energy consumption becomes essential. The climate oriented architectural design minimizes the energy consumption when using the building. Whiling to reduce the energy consumption of buildings performance and energy standards efficiency were developed in several countries. Brazil, through the INMETRO and the Programa Brasileiro de Etiquetagem (PBE), launched the Regulamento Técnico da Qualidade do Nível de Eficiência Energética de Edifícios Comerciais, de Serviços e Públicos (RTQ-C), establishing parameters for defining the level of efficiency of a building, analyzing its sourroundings, lighting and air conditioning systems for providing the Etiqueta Nacional de Conservação de Energia (ENCE). As the recent RTQ-C isn’t an instrument widely disseminated and not mandatory, it’s knowledge and application are restricted. In this context, this paper aims to evaluate the performance of thermal energy a public building in the city of Cuiabá-MT. With this in sight the following tests were ran: in situ measurements, thermal comfort evaluation trought the Fanger method, the sorroundings and illumination systems analysis using the RTQ-C, and, finally, the comfort analysis according to the tropical climate adequate bioclimatic letter. The building had a good thermal performance result, but the illumination system was insufficient. It is expected that with this paper, the regulation and its application may be disseminated at Cuiabá, showing its effectiveness and contributing to increase the energetic efficiency of local buildings, especially the public ones. |
