Resumo: | The present study aims to understand and reflect on an event in contemporary culture: the cuiabano place of speech in today’s spaces of power in Cuiabá. Under the perspective of symbolic value composed of shared meanings in society, the investigation has as its central focus the analysis of the inclusion of cuiabano speech in spaces of power and the performance of its respective figures: public authorities, academic intellectuals or artists, the latter in an appropriation of cuiabano speech with the particularity of transforming it into an instrument of laughter. We begin with the guiding question: what are the tensions of power in contemporary cuiabano speech? The theoretical axis of our study is the relational idea of communication by Vera França. We used for analysis: a) the concept of performance with Erving Goffman and b) the notions of identity/identification and "cuiabania/cuiabanity" with Mário Cezar Silva Leite. We situated the sociocultural context from the idea of symbolic power of Pierre Bourdieu. As a methodological approach, we used a podcast as instrument of scientific construction, in data gathering, conducting our interviews in a series of programs "O Falar Cuiabano" broadcasted on streaming platforms and on the website pnbonline.com.br. The podcast, therefore, served to develop part of the knowledge construction process. The experimentation of the podcast in the scientific research process is conducted by professors Pedro Pinto de Oliveira and Luãn Chagas, from the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT). It is a way to democratize science by showing a scientific study to peers, students, and other audiences, and to organize and empower the interviews of a research. From the interviews we conducted in this process emerged several clashes about the place of culture; the real and symbolic spaces of power, and different apprehensions about identity/identification of Cuiaban speech today. |
