Resumo: The theme healthy eating often goes unnoticed in the curriculum of Biology, especially in high school, as the content is extensive and the workload is insufficient. Other times due to the lack of resources necessary for school practice and teacher stimuli. However, it is necessary for the school to encourage young people to adopt healthier lifestyle habits. Using extra-school spaces is an excellent alternative for this stimulus to occur in a pleasant and meaningful way to the student. In addition to using the investigative method, this research addresses the basic concepts of the Theory of Meaningful Learning, identifying students' previous knowledge and investigating possible changes or reinforcements in them. The purpose of this study was to use an alternative learning space (supermarket) as a teaching strategy to address the topic of healthy eating. In order to carry out the research, a didactic sequence was applied to a group of freshman students in a public high school in the city of Nobres, Mato Grosso. This sequence was built and based on investigative teaching that uses a problem common to students as a motivator of the teaching and learning process. The methodological work is developed through participant research, where the student acts as a co-author of the work, producing results of enormous relevance. Data analysis took place through content analysis, using the quantitative and qualitative approach. As an integral part and final product of this work, a didactic guide on healthy eating was prepared, highlighting four alternative learning spaces. At the end of the research and through data analysis, it was possible to verify the positive impact of the field class at the alternative learning space and the aggregation of knowledge demonstrated by the students through the activities developed during the application of the didactic sequence.
