Resumo: This master's research proposes a reading and understanding of the representation of the Brazilian political scenario in the year 2020 from different narratives that transit through virtual spaces, expressed through internet memes. From this purpose, we intend to understand the discursive clashes that take place in cyberspace (LÉVY, 2010), more specifically in social networks, to understand the constitution of the subjects inserted in this proposed space-time cut, conceiving the meme as a genre of discourse, theoretically based on the heteroscience of the Bakhtin Circle (BAKHTIN, 2011) and its scholars. Regarding the constitution of subjects, we propose a theoretical dialogue between scholars in the field of Cultural Studies who theorize the theme, such as Hall (2014), Woodward (2014), together with scholars who focus on thinking about the theme from the writings from the Bakhtin Circle, such as Bassinello and Miotello (2019), Miotello (2018), understanding the construction of identity through alterity. Through Bakhtinian heteroscientificity, we base our analyzes on the exercise of interpretation marked by the comparison of texts, aiming at expanding our horizon of understanding, to visualize the expressions of struggle and resistance carried out by the "expressive and speaking being", object of study of the human sciences (BAKHTIN, 2011). In this way, we compared the selected memes and other texts, which include scientific and opinion articles, articles and reports from the journalistic sphere, cartoons, and viral posts. Understanding the world and language in a dialogic way, we performed the exercise of listening to our expressive and speaking subjects, thus listening to many voices that make up the discourse. As a proposition, we present laughter as a powerful liberating force for minds and spirits, which has the instigating faculty of promoting debates and awareness. In the conclusion, we have the presentation of another understanding, a counterword, intending to attribute meanings in the world, practicing the exercise of thinking about the subjects from the fullness of their existences.
