This work aimed to analyze the Segredo Hydrographic Basin and its recurrent cases of floods and flooding that occurred in Campo Grande - MS in the period between 2000 and 2021. For this purpose, bibliographic and field research was carried out, with technical visits in order to identify existing environmental problems. After the analyses, it was observed that floods and floods occur every time Campo Grande registers high rainfall rates, regardless of whether in much or a few minutes of rain. It is perceived that the intensity of rain is not always the main cause of these floods, but rather their constancy, the topographic conditions of the Segredo Hydrographic Basin and the anthropization that has been changing daily the landscape and the natural cycle of the Environment. It was noticed through this study that these human actions, which aim at advancement, urbanization and modernity have modified the surroundings of this basin and that it has been constantly suffering from environmental changes related to the processes of use and occupation and that effective planning and control actions are urgent to minimize recurrent problems. |
