Resumo: This work deals with the xenophobic manifestations practiced on social media pages linked to the city of Corumbá against Bolivian immigrants, demonstrating the flagrant disregard for the principle of Human Dignity and how discrimination occurs within a context of supposed freedom of expression. Using the deductive scientific method, which starts from a larger premise (prejudice against non-European immigrants is a phenomenon rooted in Brazilian society) to a smaller premise (a portion of this prejudiced society interacts in the most diverse internet pages), it is concluded that social networks are a reflection of xenophobic dynamics experienced in everyday life. Thus, the proposal developed in the course of the work was to investigate how discrimination was a state policy aimed at deterring non-European immigrants who did not fit into a supposed ideal standard. Having achieved this objective, it was possible to verify that the current xenophobic movements are phenomena that have a comprehensive historical complexity and that a greater role for public authorities is necessary to resolve the damage caused to foreigners who seek a better quality of life in Brazil. Keywords: Xenophobia. Immigrants. Discrimination. Dignity of a Human Person. Freedom Of Expression.
