Resumo: |
The Law 11.888/2008, created in Brazil in 2008, provides support for low-income families to build or renovate their homes, with technical support from qualified professionals. But, even after more than a decade, the technical assistance provided by architects and Engineers in Brazil is still only a potential. In contrast, professionals have entered the private ATHIS market to explore operations for the lower income classes, and the challenges of entrepreneurship in an unknown scenario are diverse. Thus, this work aimed to design a practical, introductory guide for private sector professionals to create popular architectural and engineering entrepreneurships. A systematization of the existing technical documentation was carried out, and an attempt was made to accumulate the experiences of offices via interviews and monitoring of the work of architects and engineers who practice ATHIS. The professionals do not recognize themselves as ATHIS practitioners and mostly use the term “popular architecture/engineering” to refer to their services, in addition to having an accumulation of technical information about the practice, management, and administration of these offices. This information was systematized and structured to compose the first version of a practical guide for professionals. The content presented completes the gap identified in the literature review, although new information and details can be added. As a technical-technological product, the prototype can be extracted from the research process, to be evaluated by the professionals who participated in the survey and then, the prototype can be edited and published. |
