Resumo: This research examined a youth group that aims to establish and maintain, voluntarily, a radio station in cyberspace (webradio). The main objective was to find the set of motivations that animate the collective work. We assume that these motivations could be found in the set ofinteractions within which they operate these young people, both those within the device as those related to its development. The device in question is called Radio Animix. It is dedicated to serving the japanese pop music (J-pop), particularly those that make the soundtracks of the anime, name given to the Japan cartoon factory. The young people involved in its constitution are part of a tribe called otaku, who is from Eastern media products. The Animix productions, essentially musical, are presented live and their creators rely on audience participation to compose them. To find the set of motivations that animate life in a group, we decided to investigate the thread of the authors of Animix, principal ambience where these young people, geographically dispersed, they are to catch up on the affairs of the virtual station. We also investigated theinteractions triggered by the device, involving the developers and their audience. The final phase of the methodological approach consisted of interviews, in order to grasp what these people experience by setting up media on the internet. In conclusion, it was revealed that the formation of webradio points to a quest for visibility, which allows these young people feel celebrities into the otaku scene. From the interactions with the audience expand their networks and their ties of friendship. As they say, live broadcasts, often on the basis of improvisation, allowing just one feel closer, for asynchronous devices, such as blogs. In addition, the Radio Animix configures itself into an instrument used by these young people to spread a specific musical taste. Spreading the Japanese bands and their styles assimilated some Brazilian context, the authors of the station demanding more space for groups dedicated to oriental music.
