Resumo: | This study represents interdisciplinary research on the meanings and meanings attributed to religious experiences intertwined with the leisure practices of prisoners in a prison set up according to the APAC model in the metropolitan area of Belo Horizonte, MG, common system for having its own method of work, called the "Apaqueano Method". In this prison system, called as a humanized prison system, the distressed strict daily routine, pre-established by the prison institution management, was marked by the APAC method. However, the recovering is a "cogestor" of the prison unit. He is assigned daily duties, established by another distressed with the endorsement of the APAC. Along with these activities, several moments are set aside for prayers, which once missed, the detainee has his hours allocated to leisure activities, cut off. Facedwith these questions, through ethnographic speculation, I have tried to choose the meanings and meanings produced in relation to religion for the young people in distress, and their tensions with the field of leisure in APAC, their forms of appropriation of the spaces of this prison unit in their religious practices crossed by leisure and the processes of socialization and sociability established there. Thus, I carried out a bibliographic review in three (3) distinct areas: 1) the field of leisure studies; 2) the field of religion studies, 3) public policies aimed at the prison system. I spoke with academic productions from the perspective of historical-cultural theory, hoping to capture the way in which the respondents generated meanings from the religious practices intertwined by leisure activities experienced in prison. For that, I explored the qualitative methodology, supporting myself in the participant observation and semi-structured interview, focus group, photography workshop and also made use of documentary analysis. The results obtained showed that religious practices are not capable of providing a dimension of transcendence, however, they are used by the young as a momentary possibility of leisure. Even so, evidenced the educational potential and formative not explored, both religious activity and leisure. |
