Resumo: | The knowledge management is a recurring theme during academic and business discussions. Although the debate towards the public sector is still small. Some policies and initiatives are already being developed by the governments and we intend to deepen this discussion. Facing this urgency, we ask, which are the primary strategic gears in a policy ofknowledge management in the public sector? We intend to answer this question analyzing knowledge management policies already developed in the state government of São Paulo and in the federal government of the United States of America, through a case study. After that, also develop a framework of knowledge management in the public sector. The strategicgears were categorized in formal, cultural and management aspects. After an analysis and discussion, a model was designed which allows us to understand in a wide and objective way how the knowledge management can be a potential tool to approach government andsociety and also how the possibilities should work to become a reality and in fact promote changes that impact the lives of the citizens. |
