Resumo: The objective of this research was to evaluate the resolute potential of the offered attendance to cleft patients in the FO-UFMG, searching to assist the reorganization of the service currently. For the evaluation of this service one searched to know: reason of treatment abandonment, treatment history, and evaluation of the satisfaction of patients and professionals involved. Considering the 49 patients contacted by telephone, 10,31%, it is not in treatment due to markdown of the service. The lack of the number of telephone in the clinical fiche makes impracticable the contact with 20,94% of the group, what it means serious imperfection of the service. The predominance of individuals of the white race agrees to pertinent literature. The group of cleft palate and lip (76,5%) was most prevalent. Despite the existing imperfections in the service offered to the cleft patients in the FO-UFMG, 90,15% of this group of patients present low or average satisfaction with the same. For 75,8% of the sample the face is the most severe recurrent problem of the fiction. The voice is the most severe recurrent defect of the fiction for 76,5% and the smile is the problem most severe for 76,6%. The social conviviality is the biggest problem of the individual with fiction for 57,6%. The offered attendance the individuals with labiopalatina fiction in the FO-UFMG presents low potential of resolutividade. The satisfaction degree is not proportional to that the service offers, being this satisfaction possibly related the professional. The professionals are satisfied for working in this service and are unanimous in finding that this attendance is a chance of human and technician-scientific learning. A rehabilitate center in the UFMG would solve great part of the pointed problems.
