Resumo: | This research aims to investigate some works of the Dutch artist Rineke Dijkstra in relation to the concepts of common and nonspecific, elaborated, in turn, by Giorgio Agamben and Jean-Luc Nancy. The aim is to explore the double play through which these ideas take shape in the artist's works, at the same time as they modify them. In other words, to investigate the forms in which these ideas manifest themselves in the artist's works. The concepts of regimes of art, distribution of the sensible, and aesthetic play, in Jacques Rancière, underpin this research. We also adopt a methodological formulation of the same author, according to which the analysis of the images is carried out based on the circulation of imagery (circulation de l'imagerie), the actions of dissimilarity operated by the artist and the critical discourses that surround the works of Rineke Dijkstra. |
