Resumo: The study investigates the subjective nature of memory and its storage and recall processes in relation to the nature of frame-by-frame animation. The specific focus of this study is on the impact of traumatic memories and their ramifications and possibilities in the narrative of animation. From this overlap, structural concepts are raised that can correlate and produce their own effects. Examples include plasticity, fragmentation, dream elaboration, and testimony. Additionally, the philosophical study of memory and forgetting will also be addressed, with emphasis on the ethical and existential implications of the processes of selection and elimination of information. The investigation of neurobiological processes of information storage is used to understand the consequences of these events and how they relate to the subject matter. The goal is to conceptualize a sensory field for audiovisual recording conventions by investigating interactions beyond verbal and written language and discussing its direct relationship with the subject matter. Non-fictional animation offers an expectation based on reality, with elements that anchor it but do not claim it, concerned with presenting the world with a breadth and depth that live-action, depending on the problem, cannot achieve.
