Resumo: | Through reflection and analysis of films Ryan (2004), Persepolis (2007) and Waltz With Bashir (2008), made in animation, and that approach of combining narratives of documentary, this thesis focuses on the nesting modalities seemingly diverse, trying to understand a new style of contemporary animated documentary. From the extended look at the (im)possible boundaries between fiction and nonfiction, it is based on relevant film theorists (Grierson, Nichols, Rabiger, Comparato, Da-Rin, Ramos, Carroll) in order to point out the new possibilities that animation can offer to the documentary and vice versa. Throughout this study, we propose a substitute term for the documentary, which name is marked by controversy, since its genesis. For a larger and interdisciplinary understanding, establishing a correlation between the discourse analysis and the narrators identity (Charaudeau), as well as studies on narrative of life as a discursive strategy that mixes fiction and nonfiction (Amossy, Arfuch, Machado, among others). In order to understand the current demands of society, which are reflected in the arts, we also analyze the context (Santos) that the animated documentary would be inserted in. It seems that the association between documentary and the animation establishes a mutually beneficial relationship between these modalities, jeopardizing the limits, at the same time, subtle and symbiotic between the fictional and non fictional universes. |
