Resumo: This dissertation presents a proposal for literary literacy in poetry that contemplates the urban poetics adopted with the sequence methodology for the literary literacy of Cosson (2009) along with the genre didactic project of Guimarães and Kersh (2012). This study’s object is the poetic genres’ contribution as slam, rap and rhyme battles in the literacy in poetry and in the possibility of enriching the poetic repertory of young second-graders. The research and the activities were thought to contemplate the student in the school and to honor the poetic characteristic of peripheral cultural activities. There is a proposal of publication of the poetics texts by a literary podcast that can expand the achievement of the students’ compositions. The research has propositive character and was developed in order to accept adaptations according to the reality applied. Through this work it was possible to conclude that the school needs constant dialogue with the street and the popular layer to supply the actual demands and make yourself significant for your community.
