This research is interested in and concerned with words as a vital force. The way words circulate among us draws ways of being, materialize cosmologies, invent worlds; just as, in a relationship of becoming, words are invented and drawn by the world they inhabit and the respective ways of being in it. What are the words in transit today in Brazil and which are the forces they carry? This dissertation is composed of three notebooks: the listening notebook, an introductory text, in which I share the problems that are posed as a starting point and the formal and informal choices made to answer them and move on with the making of this work; the power notebook, which has as its trigger the text "The Duty to Speak", by Pierre Clastres, and the current Brazilian political context and where I dedicate myself to investigate words as carriers of power, coercive and non-coercive, and the act of speaking as an force that acts on such power. How do we organize ourselves to speak and listen to each other?; and the territory notebook, in which I trace relations between words, language and territory, based on the notion of law as a fiction of power invented by state societies. What are the political and symbolic fictions practiced as "right" today in Brazil? What and who has the right to exist and what and to whom is this right denied?
