Resumo: | The present work deals with the use of drones to support participatory territorial planning, considering the processes related to the production of spatial data and geovisualization, intended as the visualization of geographic information. The research is built in two lines of investigation: a technical one, where tests are performed on equipment and methods of data collection and processing, in order to understand the level of quality of the products generated and their plausible applications; a geovisualization one, where tests are performed on the use of the generated products, especially three-dimensional models and aerial photographs, in order to understand whether there are gains in geovisualization that can contribute to better participation of the citizen in the territorial planning processes. Nine case studies are presented, which are carried out in six different areas, five are in Belo Horizonte / MG and one in Emilia-Romagna / Italy. These studies aim to test the use of the drone in several cases: from the high-detail 3D modeling of a building, through the construction of spatial databases and 3D modeling for the neighborhood scale, up to the representation of large landscapes through aerial photographs with an oblique perspective. The results show the great flexibility of the tool for data collection and the representation of territorial objects in the three tested scales. The quality of the data is highlighted by the low cost and practicality used in its production. In geovisualization, the use of realistic 3D models of dynamic navigation contributed to a better understanding of the spatial information represented, favoring the dialogue between the participants of Geodesign workshops. The variation in data visualization perspective makes visualizing spatial information simpler, and this is the base for proposing the representations of the Landscape Units through aerial photographs. These studies can serve as a reference base for a wide range of geography insight and related areas, especially regarding the use of geotechnologies as a way of representing space for territorial planning. |
