Resumo: | This study analyzes relevant films that make reference to the concept of counterculture. It does so within the production of the Czech film director Milos Forman. We deal, specifically, with his first three American films, all of them related, directly or indirectly, to this subject matter: Taking off (USA 1971); One flew over the cuckoos nest (USA 1975) and Hair (USA / West Germany 1979). These three films will be analyzed from acinematographic and thematic standpoint, emphasizing their importance as audiovisual productions that gave the general public an idea of what the counterculture was. This way, well try to understand how this landmark decade of the 1960s was reflected in the screens, both in content, as in the form of these films, from the vision and sensibility of this specific filmmaker. |
