This study validated the quality of the information of Plans of Delivery and evaluated the dimensions of completeness and consistency of the data. To understand the use of these dimensions, a literature review was done on the quality of information used in Information Science and in the area of Health. It was part of the objective of this study to extract information unknown in the data, through the texts mining in histories and perform a descriptive analysis of the data of Childbirth Plans. The dissertation sought to show key concepts of Information Quality, Text Mining, Prenatal and Childbirth Plan, then presented the methodology and results that were developed in the study. For the descriptive analysis and text mining, the support tools IBM SPSS and Orange Canvas respectively were used. It resulted in obtaining the characteristics of the data of Labor of Delivery, the data can provide important subsidies for the clinical decision making, improvement in support to pregnant women and to serve for studies and scientific research in the related areas.
