This dissertation aims to analyze the trajectory of the composer and pianist Lina Pesce, using as a research source newspapers and magazines available in the Digital Hemeroteca of Biblioteca Nacional, covering the period from 1920 to 1959. We identified 429 records that mention the name of the artist, categorized into eight groups and then made a detailed analysis of articles identified as exclusive to the composer, her releases, awards, auditions, among other relevant aspects, in order to understand the different approaches and modalities in relation to the pianist at the time, as well as possible omissions from her story over the years. The analyses were grounded with the bibliography on gender studies, identifying the role of women in society and in music, followed by gender inequalities and historical erasures.
