Resumo: This research aims to understand the leisure lived by people who are in the moment of finitude, showing a scenario on the various ways people perform activities consider important in a serious situation of health without a perspective of healing. It intends to analyze the choice of leisure activities with Terminal Chronic Renal Failure (TCRF), without neglecting a socioeconomic and cultural dimension in which the inserted texts are placed. In this perspective, it is presented as important subsidies like Morin, Giddens and Kellehear on the subject death and timing of finitude and its implications in the daily activities of leisure like affirmation of the identity. Advances to reflections on leisure from the perspective of the philosophy already existing in Marcellino's studies. Field research was developed using the Photovoz methodology, in which seven male participants with IRCT recorded their leisure activities over a period of three months. The narratives through the images pointed to 6 common categories about leisure among participants, being: work, friends and / or family, self-satisfaction activities, affection of animals, nature and physical activity. The results proved a singular form that each participant makes his leisure activities at the moment of finitude and indicated an importance for the choice of leisure and the performance of the desired activities, so that may live to death with dignity. However, functions such as loss of social role of separate men as providers, as well as socioeconomic and cultural condition, can affect how the choices or even a possibility to perform the desired leisure. It was also identified, participants affirmed his identity through leisure, even with all specifics problems of the disease. Finally, it is observed the importance of living the leisure in an existential perspective in the course of life to opportunize people to experience a full leisure in the period of death.
