Resumo: | Pedological analysis should cover different scales, while the Soil Micromorphology study the microstructurals organizations. This work describes such organizations in soils located on the western edge of the Espinhaço Mountain Range/MG. Such studies have been conducted in the area in Gouveia Depression, being scarce in this plateaux zone. Were selected four profiles in different geomorphological compartments and rocks from Costa Sena Group. There, samples were collected for the preparation of thin sections and also textural analysis. The micromorphological description followed the precepts of Bullock et al. (1985), Brewer (1976) and Stoops & Jongerius (1975). It has been found the origin in situ of the Profile 1 (Oxisol), evidenced by the presence of nodules in different stages of formation and degradation. Differences between profiles 2 and 3 (Cambisols) were observed, although they are located on the same strand. In the profile 2, high slope, were found to decrease the concentration of the coarse material with increasing depth of soil, suggesting a wash of the thinner material. In the Profile 3, on medium slope, were found mottled, whose occurrence was uted to variations in slope and hydric circulation. The profile 4 (Argisol) showed nodules denser and reddish stains distributed by the plasma, and nodules suggest that redox processes in the hydromorphic environment by the absolute accumulation of iron. Overall, almost all profiles were recognized as in situ profiles except profile 4. Furthermore, microstructures were described in the profiles which allow associated indicators processes not only their pedogenetic evolution, but also the geomorphological evolution of their own context. Among them are: i) the presence, type and distribution of nodules, ii) degree of development of pedality considering the source material of soils; iii) texture gradient without pedofeatures of illuvial iv) differences in color of fine material, etc. |
