Resumo: | This thesis dissertation analyzes the implementation of Keith Johnstone’s Impro System on special practical experiments carried out within the scope of academic extension with undergraduate students in Theater and high school students at the Integrated High School, both groups part of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Tocantins (IFTO) – Gurupi campus. All of the participants took part in the improvisation theater groups: GuruImpro and ImproMédio. The first one, formed by undergrads, and the latter by high school students. These groups were formed under the institute extension projects which maintain continuous actions with the internal and external community of the IFTO. Thus, the training and presentations of both groups, techniques and formats of exhibitions that contributed to their formation and learning were observed and analyzed. For the analysis of these actions, the research relied on authors who deal with improvisation and theater games, focusing on educational and social formation. The academic extension is also one of the objects of this research. Therefore, the IFTO and the national extension policies guided the analysis undertaken for this work. The results indicate that the Impro System concepts developed within the groups in question had positive impacts to the academic, artistic, and social formation of the participants and the institutions involved. Furthermore, how the Impro System implementation contributed to strengthening the culture in the local community and in the extensionist actions of the IFTO. |
