O samba no terreiro: música, corpo e linguagem como prática cultural – apontamentos para o campo do lazer

What a discussion on the samba in the context of candomblé can provide subsidies for the construction of knowledge in the academic field of leisure is the theme presented in this dissertation. This ethnography is consolidated from two movements. One that seeks dialogue with the leisure field, discussing a hegemonic gaze produced in this academic field and suggesting new approach prospects about their understandings. For this dialogue the myth elements, celebration and sacredness are taken as references, from which can be constructed a debate related to the investigated context. The other movement promotes a description of samba produced in candomblé, taking it as an element that registers different directions in a unique way of production of life, the “povo-de-santo”. The description of the samba no terreiro conforms from an access to the context of research, revealed by interviews with people connected with African-Brazilian religions, and the raid on a temple of “Candomblé de Angola” in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte.
