Resumo: | The finite element based computer system PAVEDIF is presented in this in this work, including the consideration of membrane forces on the behavior of plate elements, as well as off-set conections,. This system is capable of performing the analysis of orthotropic plates with stifferers excentric in relation to their mid plane. In order to consider this case, the stiffners are modelled using bar element with off-set, and the plate using plate elements with membrane forces. Structures that can be analysed using PADEDIF include: building floors, tie retaining walls, bridge decks and heads, and othe similar strucutres. The effects of changes in stiffner excentricity for transversely loaded plates are also studied. In addition, the results obtained with the consideration of off-set are compared to the ones obtained from tlhe traditional model used in engineering practice. |
