Resumo: | The surgical treatment of keratoconjunctivitis sicca was made in twenty seven eyes of sixteen dogs naturally affected by the disease. The diagnosis was obtained by clinical evaluation and Schirmer test. The eyes were distributed in three groups: group GO (occlusion group), it was used the surgical punctal occlusion; group GT (transplantation group), it was used labial salivary glands autotransplantation in the superior palpebral conjunctive; and the group GTO (transplantation + punctal occlusion group), where the two techniques were used together. The animals were evaluated in the 7º, 40º, 90º and 180º postoperative days. All the groups were similarly benefit by the surgical treatment and two techniques were considered satisfactory.
