Resumo: | For the last fifteen-year, Brazil has been at the top of the ranking of homicides of transgender individuals worldwide. Thus, there is a need and urgency to address and discuss issues involving transgender people, such as the construction of their identities. This work aims, firstly, to analyze the relationship between identity and body. Afterwards, the narrative identity will be studied, mainly based on the proposal presented by Marya Schechtman, which encompasses not only an individual process but also the intersubjectivity of narratives created together with other people. Then, it will be discussed how possible changes occur in transgender bodies in youth and their relationship with gender identity, as well as what would be the affirmative model of gender in Brazil. Finally, a study of the links between the concepts will be carried out in order to provide opportunities for the analysis of how the gender affirmative model, when modifying the body of transgender adolescents, can reconcile the narrative identity with their gender identity. Given that if the body does not represent the person's gender identity, the narrative identity can be distorted in relation to the self-narrated by the individual, the sooner the gender-affirmative model is presented to the adolescent, the sooner there will be compatibility with the identity narrative, which is formed from experiences, individual and intersubjective, throughout a process of continuous construction. However, this process cannot harm the autonomy, otherness and dignity that are the dimensions of the person. |
