Resumo: This work aims to investigate the relationship between Lacanian psychoanalytic interpretation and the Chinese poetic writing, mainly the the last paper written by Jacques Lacan, in the late 1970s. Lacan says that the therapist must seek what is essential in the Chinese poetic writing to work with analytic interpretation. This puts emphasis on the notion of writing and lyrics. An analysis involves not only listening, but also a reading by the therapist and then, the person that is being analaysed. It is in this sense that an interpretation is guided by writing of the symptom and enjoyment and not just by talking. In order to a better comprehension about the function of writing in Chinese poetry it was necessary to search the language, the writing of Chinese characters, calligraphy and notions of Chinese thoughts. The research makes a detour through China as a method to understand medical indication of Lacan.
