Resumo: This thesis intends to contribute to the discussion on Visual Arts teachers training in a course in distance modality. For this, has established up a systematic dialogue with the scenario of Brazilian education in their advances and weaknesses in intent to know, analyze and understand the teachers pedagogical practices who had the opportunity to be in a Specialized Course in Visual Arts. The general objective is to investigate the impact of teacher education, in distance modality, in the pedagogical practices of teachers in the teaching/learning process of Visual Arts. As methodology, the artistic thinking was the guiding principle of the teaching/learning of Visual Arts. This is a qualitative research so, there was a case study based on the Specialization Course of Visual Arts of the Escola de Belas Artes from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (CEEAV/EBA/UFMG). It has been identified the nature of the artistic educational proposals, the materials, the context and the resources that egressed students use to think about art. The data analysis has been done through questionnaire in the light of the theoretical framework of Efland (2005), Dewey (2010), Wagner (2010), Freire (2011) and Pimentel (2015), among others. With the data collected, it was found that most egressed students have experience in Art, Internet access and they continued their education, whether professional or academic, and that most uses the knowledge constructed on CEEAV in their lives and in their professions.
