Resumo: | The consumption of fruits and vegetables (FV) is associated with the prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases due to their high nutrient content and low caloric density. The specialized literature on this field indicates that working conditions, including organizational forms and psychosocial factors at work, can shape health behaviors and can partly explain the eating practices among workers. In this sense, it is important to understand this relationship in the state of Minas Gerais court workers. It is also important to find out if the major changes regarding the working organization in the judicial system has an effect on the matter of the consumption of FV. This present work, therefore, aims at estimating the prevalence as well as the factors associated with the regular consumption of FV among the judicial workers in Minas Gerais. This is a cross-sectional analytical study with a representative sample (n=1,005), using data from the survey: "Working conditions and health of Minas Gerais Trial Court workers" (Justicel-2016). The main interest of the study was the variable "regular consumption of FV". The explanatory variables were divided into three blocks: 1) sociodemographic; 2) health conditions and habits; and 3) work characteristics and psychosocial factors. The hierarchical Poisson regression by blocks was used to analyze possible factors associated with the outcome. The prevalence of regular FV consumption was 55.3%. After adjustmen ts, there were significant associations (p <0.05) for the female sex (PR: 1.26, 95%CI: 1.06-1.48), with income above 12 minimum wage (PR: 1,33; 95%CI: 1,08-1,65), suficiente physical activity (PR: 1.41, 95%CI: 1.17-1.71), abusive consumption of alcoholic beverages (PR: 0.74, 95%CI: 0.54-0.93), and use of the Judicial Electronic Process (PR: 1.21, 95%CI: 1.01-1.46). Despite the high percentage of regular consumption of FV in the sample studied, the inadequacy level of 46.0% is quite significant and represents a worrying situation, revealing important challenges for the overnmentbody responsible for the state of Minas Gerais court workers. The hypotheses of the study were partially confirmed by finding an association between the consumption of FV and the characteristics of the work done by the court personnel. The association of the consumption of the FV with the use of the Judicial Electronic Processes still needs further investigation. Keywords: Fruits and vegetables consumption. Judicial system.
