Resumo: This is a Gender Didactic Project (PDG) associated with photoreports based on Guimarães and Kersch (2014) that can be defined as a set of activities organized in a given time frame. It was based on demands and themes brought by students of the 7th grade of the Municipal School Professor Alcida Torres and residents of the Taquaril region with the concern of relating the proposal to a social practice and of circulating the genre with which we worked beyond the boundaries of the classroom. This PDG was built in six workshops that culminated in the production of FRs - Photoreports. The initial motivation of this project was the appropriation of the use of this genre in order to stimulate the student's language, in a multimodal perspective. What was perceived during the workshops was the acquisition of skills that allowed the student to intervene in his community, in a more responsive way to his socio-cultural reality. The approach is based on the Multiliteracy proposal, a term explored by the New London Group, but also on the conception of Rojo (2013) by which several languages are semiotically integrated, that is, by the oral, written, imagery, visual and digital modalities all they are arranged as sign composition resources. Thus, in addition to building knowledge and developing skills involved in listening, reading and producing texts that circulate in the journalistic field, we provide experiences that allowed these young teenagers to awaken the sensitivity and curiosity about the events that happen in the community and that affect life of all people. The expected results were achieved with the publication of 40 photographic images in the CRAS - Reference and Social Assistance Center - a space located in the Taquaril neighborhood, in which the students showed several skills developed in the production of photoreports. During this project, the following became evident: the practice of listening, reading verbal and visual language, producing texts belonging to genres in the journalistic sphere, the development of autonomy in looking and analytical thinking in relation to common community interests, positions diverse about their sociocultural reality in the captions of the photographic images. Along the way, the images present the reality of those who live in Taquaril, however, they also represent a historical composition of values and social issues that need to be valued, analyzed and, above all, changed and improved. Thus, this work presents itself as a panorama of reflections from the student's gaze towards his community, in a continuous process of interaction and development of multimedia skills.
