The paper had as objective to understand theperception of the adolescents about their participations in operative groups realized in State School Teacher Izabel Motta, in Diamantina MG-Brazil. The study was realized with adolescents participants of the operative group that happened in those school, coordinated byacademic under orientation of the teacher responsible for discipline Nursing of the child and adolescent health, Nursing Course, at the Federal University of the Jequitinhonha and Mucuri Valleys. Through the criterion of repetition of the speak come nine interview and their speeches were analysed in agreement with of the understanding analysis suggest by Martins and Bicudo(1989) allowing to do thirteen thematic units that changed over to three categories: Learning an teaching to be adolescents with others, A right way heading foradult age and Recognizing risks to adolescent health. The operative group was important to young participant because it was a learning and teaching space matter about adolescence with other adolescents and too older than them, looking for a good way to take a healthy and better life in the future. The change of experiences between members of the group made possible that they perceive their self as equals, doubtful and incapable, sometimes as different, wises and capable. This ambiguity magnified the sense of belong to group and the need to attention for care own life. The adolescents perceived that participant method used with the groups facilitated the learning by interesting and creative way, permitting to hear and to talk about their world youthful. The appearance of the phenomenon indicates an indispensable revision about education activities for adolescents.
