Resumo: | The main goal of this work is the study of routing algorithms in mobile ad hoc networks. Computers on such networks can communicate directly with each other, without the support of base stations. We will present here a characterization of mobile networks with emphasis on the ad hoc environment. General routing algorithms will also be presentedin order to understand routing algorithms for ad hoc networks. The main ad hoc routing algorithms will be presented and their main characteristics will be analysed and compared. The result of this study is the specification of a new and efficient ad hoc routing algorithm called GPSAL (GPS Ant-Like Routing Algorithm), which was implemented and simulated. We simulate the algorithm for different scenarios and compare it to another algorithm also based on GPS. |
