Resumo: | This thesis observed the context of the vocal preparation of sixty-young choristers from Canarinhos of Itabirito choir, starting from the premise that the singer's instrument is his body, which involves the body/mind psychophysical unity. The review of the literature about technique and vocal training, undertaken for the thesis, showed that the development of body awareness has not been a focus on vocal formation in children and adolescents. Thus, with the objective of integrating the vocal formation to the corporal consciousness of the chorister, this qualitative study was designed, which proposes, through action research, the elaboration and evaluation of a Vocal Preparation Program that integrates vocal practice with practices with the inclusion of positions and movements from three holistic body approaches, potential resources for the development of body awareness, proprioception and well-being: the Alexander Technique, Bioenergetics and Tai Chi Chuan. In conjunction with a panel of experts in these approaches, a diagnosis was made to identify the recurrent psychophysical problems presented by choristers. The results indicated the presence of the following psychophysical patterns: projection of the neck and hips, abdominal collapse, hyperextension of the knees, inadequate posture habits, excessive tension in segments such as hands and jaw; anxiety, fear, shyness and distraction. To minimize these patterns, the Vocal Preparation Program was implemented in two cycles, in the ten groups of vocal technique of the Canarinhos of Itabirito choir. The data collected were: (1) six questionnaires and eight focus groups applied to choristers: (2) two focus groups held together with the panel of expert collaborators; (3) audiovisual records. The analysis of content revealed that the Vocal Preparation Program favored the psychophysical development of the choralists, with the dynamization of the teaching-learning process of vocal technique; expansion of consciousness and proprioception; physical and emotional alignment; minimization of psychophysical problems; inter-human relationship; quality of experience and improvement of well-being in the act of singing. |
