The political game in Spain was completely changed by the National Elections of 2015. The system, which was once regarded as institucionalized with a strong bipartisan bias, acquired a multi-party logic. Fragmentation rose and the traditional parties saw their voting and their share of seats shrink while new politicall forces - PODEMOS and Ciudadanos. - emerged. This thesis investigates how the crisis of dissatisfaction, the emergence of new values and changes in society opened up a window of opportunity for these new parties to give way to a new political cycle in Spain.
