Resumo: | Peter Szondi’s notion of drama in crisis, modeled from studies of the Frankfurt School that already had Hegel and Marx as their basis, points to the need to develop a historical and dialectical view of the dramatic form, which escapes from poetics regulations. In the horizon of crisis, expressionism and the Brechtian epic theater overcome the drama. In signaling to the psychopathic character, Freud already denounced the disrespect of modern authors to the rule of not causing suffering in the spectator, who thus already caused a germinal Brechtian estrangement. The drama in crisis would be, therefore, the one in which the character conditioned by anonymous forces has the repression in clash with the restraint. In short, the hypothesis put forward here is that the psychopathic character is explicit and developed in the theater at the moment of the aesthetic passage from drama to epic theater. |
