Resumo: | This study aimed to analyze the management of post-consumer chain of mobile phones from the main actors that were identified in the city of Belo Horizonte (MG). This research was developed in two phases, outlined the specific objectives with their collection techniques and analysis of data that were applied at each stage. Phase 1 was divided into two stages. At each step was selected a technique for collecting and analyzing data according to the actors who were identified from literature review, document and techniques visits to actors working with WEEE, particularly the actors involved in post-consumer chain of cell phones. Were used yet internet sites and telephone contacts to complement the search for new actors and to raise additional information. The actors identified were grouped according to the activities they perform. Phase 2 was to analyze the flow of mobile phones of waste generated in the identified activities. From the diagnosis presented in the management of post-consumer chain of mobile phones it is possible to say that the reverse logistics programs are still scarce and incipient in Belo Horizonte. Existing programs are failures and need to be further studied. Although there is a nascent market that recovers part of the waste from mobile phones in Belo Horizonte there is still no formal system of management of WEEE. Therefore, it is necessary to implement a management plan for WEEE generated in the city so that you can create control mechanisms and oversight of remanufacturing activities, removal and disposal of such wastes that are constantly growing, in addition to proposing the appreciation these materials by recycling. There is also the need to create sectorial agreement for the implementation of reverse logistics system for consumer electronics products and to establish recovery goals of materials through recycling, since the final disposal of such waste is directly related to preservation environment and the welfare of human health. Furthermore, it is essential not only to propose targets for collection of products that are on the market, but the way they are designed and engineered these products to increase their life or minimize its harmful effects as waste. |
