Resumo: The researcher’s clinical experience was the driving force for the development of this research, which has as its main object the delicate transition of adolescence. The investigation starts from the hearing of the adolescent subjects tangled about their position in the world and the impasse about becoming an adult, being a man or a woman. The dissertation writing underpins itself on the principles of methodology in theoretical-clinical research in psychoanalysis, to ask, initially, about the concept of adolescence in psychoanalysis and interrogate about the impasses experimented by these subjects, regarding their sexual awakening and becoming an adult. The work is divided into two distinct chapters that do not fail to connect. In the first chapter, the concept of adolescence for psychoanalysis is unfolded, having as north Freud’s formulations and Lacan’s teaching. The research is also underpinned by the area’s commenters and researchers. The reading of the play Spring awakening, by Frank Wedekind, was used as an additional resource, as it backs many psychoanalytical readings about the adolescence and sexual awakening topic. It was sought to sort the adolescence not as a development stage, but as a symptom, a constructed answer, by each subject, before the new that presents itself and implies operating with the impasses of the social bond. In the second chapter, based on the researcher's practice, these subjects’ impasses are unfolded, especially regarding the exit of adolescence towards the becoming an adult, man or woman. It was sought to sort these impasses from Lacanian formulations regarding alienation and separation, operators on the subject constitution, using two clinical fragments which demonstrate that these processes aren’t linear and do not happen without hindrances. Guided on what was presented in the clinic, an elaboration about the hypothesis of procrastination of adolescence was made, using two clinical fragments of subjects that fixed on the adolescence symptom as an answer towards the impossible of becoming an adult, and this relationship with their impasses regarding sexual sharing. Thus, it was possible to verify that the transition from adolescence goes beyond an Oedipal reading, lined on the construction of a position linked only in the paternal ideals, embracing an impasse that presents itself to the subject and which, sometimes, does not find support on the ideals. Here, we go beyond Oedipus, to a reading based on Lacan’s formulations, in the 1970s, about jouissance. At least, the research aimed to demonstrate how the encounter with an analyst might enable these subjects, from the space where they can count on their ways of saying, to build new ways of dealing with the (im)possible of their delicate transition.
