Resumo: This dissertation presents a proposal for an alternative architecture practice. From a critical analysis of the conventional way of designing, predominantly focused on the product and without the involvement of the residents, this research brings the possibility of thinking and practicing the project as a process, something that, in addition to being viable, has advantages. To discuss the need of thinking and experimenting with other ways of designing, a reflection is made on the impacts of our practice on the planet and the teaching of design is approached from a decolonial perspective as a crucial moment to rethink, experiment and invent other ways of making. From the experimentation of two design methods, the first proposed by the Argentinean architect Rodolfo Livingston and the second developed by the professors of the School of Architecture (EA-UFMG) Adriano Matos Corrêa and José dos Santos Cabral Filho, at the Céu do Terceiro Mundo office, I propose a design method in wich the main objective is the active participation of people who live in or use the space as protagonists. Thus, the systematization of this method is made, co-developed from my course conclusion work (EA-UFMG, 2019), highlighting what is behind the strategies and creating possibilities for other people to reformulate from their own repertoire.
