Resumo: | To Lakoff and Johnson (1980), human beings cognitive system is, in most cases, metaphorical. For those authors, metaphors structure our thoughts and are part of our conception and definition of reality. This master thesis had as a goal to propose the development of a qualitative survey with an interpretative strand, which aimed to investigate the most common metaphors used by Portuguese teacher to conceptualize the use of mobile equipment in the classroom. In this perspective, this researchs data was generated from the answers got through initial and final questionnaires applied to Portuguese teachers who participated in a formation offered entirely by WhatsApp named Taba Móvel Redigir. As a methodological procedure, firstly, we read the questionnaire aiming to the identification of the metaphorical expressions, the categorization and grouping of metaphors according to the regularity. For the analyses of the metaphors, we used the Theory of Conceptual Metaphor (LAKOFF; JOHNSON, 1980; KÖVECSES, 2010) and Image Schemas (LAKOFF; JOHNSON, 1980; KÖVECSES, 2010; GIBBS; COLSTON, 2006). The analysis of the data revealed, in a general way, the conceptualization of mobile learning as a challenge, a way of inserting and approximating the school to the students sociocultural context. Thus, it was possible to notice that the teachers are, somehow, unprepared to deal with mobile technology, being necessary that they get a specialization to work with mobile technology in the classroom. |
