Resumo: | The numerical simulation of the deep drawing of steel sheets requires data about the product geometry, the material properties, and the process itself. Numerical simulation has been widely applied to predict and visualize the deformed geometry, final thickness of the work piece, wrinkling, critical areas of breakage and other features typical of theforming process. The use of this approach allows the development and evaluation of alternate project designs with greater reliability and reduced cost. This work discusses the sensitivity of numerical simulation to changes in some simulation parameters: element size, specific mass of material, blankholder force, theoretical models of material properties, utilization of analytical drawbeads and of the type of the blank material. The influence of these parameters on processing time and quality of results was also analyzed. The parts that were modeled were manufactured on large industrial scale. The software ANSYS/LS-DYNA3D was used for the simulation. The purpose of this work is to enhance the technical capability of Usiminas in the analysis of complex problems in deep drawing, with agility and accuracy. This approach will be of special importance to: (i) provide technical assistance to customers; (ii) develop simultaneous engineering with customers; and (iii) introduce new products to the market. |
