Resumo: | These research is the result of an investigation upon the traditional craftwork of Renda Turca de Bicos which manifests in Sabará, city of Minas Gerais. It features the social relationships between the practicers and the place where this practice is located. The craftwork is an Intangible Cultural Heritage registered in the city. In order to do such approach, an interdisciplinary lineation was opted wherein the concepts find common ground trough the reciprocal integration approximating theories and methodologies. The knowledge and skills to produce traditional crafts, is investigated throughout approaches supported by anthropology and philosophy and they are linked to the landscapes concepts both in the geographic and architectural areas. The historical research on the origins of such knowledge amplified the approaches to beyond the researched city revealing the manifestation of similar knowledges in Brazil and in the entire world. Both the documental research and the ethnographic method were technics chosen for the investigation of traditional knowledge which manifests itself in an organized form within specific groups of craftswomen in this city. Thereby, the observation and apprehension of narratives enabled a better interaction and proximity to the universe of these people. Consequently, the statements and experiences were transcript compounding a survey documentation. Therefore, the appraisals applied in the comprehension of how knowledge is practiced, including details of social organization forms of these people; the improvement of craftwork execution technics; the exchange relations with the place of these practices among an urban scheme in the city and its connection with the daily activities. The results pointed out the existence of sustainable practices when it comes to the management of the organization of this community. The research contributions are found in the scope of recognition of traditional practices in its possibilities of continuation, social cohesion and identity consolidation being a possible reference to other community groups and public politic managers. |
