The present work seeks to discuss the process of reconfiguration andterritorialisation of the struggle for land and territory of the Natives of Arapuim, as well as the activation of the quilombola identity throughout the process. For that, the following methodological procedures were carried out: bibliographical review, documentary research, direct observation and interviews with political leaders of the communities that are part of the Nativos Arapuim. The Nativos of Arapuim is a social group, descendants of the deterritorialized peasants in the old Cachoeirinha, present municipality of Verdelândia, located in the North of Minas Gerais, and place of event of the emblematic conflict denominated of Massacre of Cachoeirinha. After the "Massacre" of the old Cachoeirinha, the spatial and territorial reconfiguration of the municipality occurs, through the creation of rural settlements / agrarian reform settlements. This scenario of conflict and land restructuring is where the reemergence of the land struggle of the Natives of Arapuim, which after several events, finds a new path towards the quilombola territory.
