Resumo: | In this work, it is developed a technical economic evaluation about issues related to energy supply to rural areas through distribution networks of low cost implantation and maintenance, in the context of the Brazilian programs intended to assure energy delivery to rural population. The investigation of the subject is based on some relevant aspects of the social economic Brazilian context at present time, where the program to assure energy delivery to rural population is being implemented. Among these aspects, it can be mentioned the great dispersion of consumers in rural areas and the present social situation where more than ten million people still do not have access to electric energy. The conjunction of these aspects indicates the need of searching technical alternatives, because the investment projected to finance the program will be high,in accordance with data published by Brazilian Ministry of Energy.Among these technical alternatives of rural electrification, the limitingaspects and aspects of feasibility of single wire earth return systems of energy distribution are explored. In this perspective, the impact of the present practice of stealing neutral conductor of rural networks is considered, in terms of the aspects related to safety of the people who use electric installations that have lost their interconnection with the potential of the neutral conductor of electrical system. A technical economic comparative study between the single wire earth returnsystem and phase-neutral system is also presented, taking into account the characteristics of energy consumption and demand of rural Brazilian areas and, overall, the consumer units connected from the Brazilian programs intended to assure energy delivery to rural population. |
