A virtude como ato na elaboração do sentido da vida no luto

We present a theoretical research that aims to relate the presence of virtue in the process of elaboration of meaning in mourning experience, a process that raises issues regarding the meaning of life. As theoretical basis, we accounted for notions of Husserls phenomenology: subjectivity, inter-subjectivity, intentionality, world-of-live, renewal, such as ethical posture and self-consciousness. The reflexion about the sense of human has led us to the background of the concept of person, present in philosophical anthropology, which clears out the notion of subjectivity and prepare us to enter into the concept of virtue, taken as power of humanity. The Aristotelian-Thomistic concepts, such as form, habitus, intelligere,human soul, person complexity and unity, were approached in order to introduce us into Edith Steins thoughts, who shows us the structures of human person in its dimension unities - body, psyche and spirit -, and contemplates the subject in action during affect and social relations of the community. Starting with the dynamics of power- act, we remark the concept of force, structural element of the human person, relevant to the dimension of the spirit, as a central core that allow us to establish a relation with virtue, considered as updated power, meaning as act. We recognize the presence of virtue as personal constitutive provision that depends on the context of bio-psychic-spiritual-social to be updated. We reaffirm the presence of virtue in greek origin of psychological ideas, passing through the medieval thought, suffering ruptures during modern age and reaching contemporaneous vision revealing the need for to be rescued in its genuine sense of humanity power and inserted in a cultural and social perspective. We continue with the concept of elaboration of meaning of life reasoned in phenomenology. To approach mourning, we considered a psychosocial vision and as proposal of vision of totality, we formulated a definition of mourning, bearing in ming the concept of world-of-life. From the dynamism of force, it was possible to relate virtue as an act with elaboration of meaning of life in mourning. This reflection aims to contribute updating psychologist performance facing mourning and highlight the meaning of value and care with human in psychology and in our culture.
