Resumo: | This work deals with questions about the idiomatic writing in Sonata nº 1 of Leo Brouwer for solo guitar, composed in 1990. Initially, briefly, the aesthetic influences that led to the construction of the work are presented. In a second stage, there is a conceptualization about what would be considered idiomatic from the instrumental point of view, and then the idiomatic resources present in Sonata nº1 are categorized, establishing a dialogue with the works of Borém (2000), Scarduelli (2007), Barros (2008) and Kreutz (2014). The author's knowledge of the guitar is also an important tool for the development of the research. The central section of the paper presents an extensive structural and idiomatic analysis of the focus work of this dissertation. Finally, a balance is made on the main aspects of Brouwer's musical writing in the work in question and also some excerpts from other of his works are explained for the purpose of dialoguing with the processes of idiomatic thinking about the guitar, observed in the Sonata nº 1. |
