Resumo: | This thesis analyzes the political uses of the past and the militant historical writing by left-wing intellectuals in Ediciones de Crisis - a publishing house founded by Federico Vogelius and Eduardo Galeano in Buenos Aires - between 1973 and 1976. This project started with the cultural magazine ideas letras artes en la crisis by gathering an important number of notorious Argentinian and Latin-American intellectuals. Through cultural production, it aimed to intervene politically by creating a revolutionary consciousness. As their main strategy of public intervention, the magazine and its publishing house resorted to historical writing and other narratives about the past. Progressively, the editorial project adhered to a specific form of interpreting and narrating the past, a historiographic trend known as Argentinian Historical Revisionism. Our objective is to analyze the production protocols of this historical discourse elaborated outside academies or specialized milieus, its chosen topics, its interpretations and the political implications of the revisionist discourse in an editorial project that desired to radically transform society. |
