The present study has evaluated the development of Quality and Environmental Management System of two organizations from different segments, one of them is a chemical industry while another is an international hotel. The evaluation has been done individually, comparingthe history of each organization before and after the implementation of Quality and Environmental Management System. It has been evaluated both Quality and Environmental Management Systems of eachorganization, independently, by comparing the requirements of norms NBR ISO9001:2000 Quality Management Systems Requirements and NBR ISO14001:1996 Environmental Management Systems Specification with Guidance for Use with the organizations aimsand how this management methodology has brought benefits for both organizations, by reducing wastes with energy, solid wastes, increasing of visibility on market and interested parts as community, governmental organizations, clients, increasing the quality of the products/services and others. The evaluation of these Systems has been done by an exploratory questionnaire based in both norms, over an sample universe of 30% from the internal population of each organization, in order to guarantee a representing part of all internal segments. For a comparative evaluationbasis indicators proposed by FIESP has been used in order to allow a compare between another companies. The results obtained in this M. Sc. Thesis have shown the increasing of quality and environmental deployment of the both organizations investigated in this study as aconsequence of the implementation of Quality And Environmental Management System based on norms NBR ISO9001:2000 e NBR ISO14001:1996. The organizations were reduce their use of water and electrical energy, the production of solid wastes, a better involvementbetween employees and patronization of the many activities of the organizations. The results show the real benefits obtained from the implementation of integrated Quality And Environmental Management System.
