Resumo: In general, the impact noise floor creates nuisance in users of vertical buildings, mainly in residential environments. From this perspective, several countries are aware of the problem, including Brazil. In this work, a survey of perception of annoyance due to impact noise floor in residential buildings in the city of Belo Horizonte, through interviews with residents in apartments and acoustic testing was developed. Comparisons of the tested criteria established by the performance of buildings standard ABNT NBR 15575-3:2013 and some international regulatory outcomes were made. It was found that the criteria of Brazilian lower performance is well above the minimum allowed for other countries, and that the fourteen buildings tested, only one did not attend the Brazilian standard. Through these comparisons and the development of a procedure for a subjective evaluation, it was possible to determine whether these criteria are appropriate to the same perception of the users of the buildings, and there was a large majority of dissatisfied in relation to levels of impact noise floor. As a result of this evaluation, new criteria have been proposed based on the perceived hassle of users.
